Largs Yacht Have, at low tide

2.   Access to the marina is available at all tide times. It is well sheltered by the Cumbrae Islands and the islands to the west. You can sail whatever the weather as no significant swell develops in the Largs channel.

Minimum depth below Chart Datum is 2.5m with several areas having deep water berths with 3m below Chart Datum. Only in spring tides, with high pressure at the same time are deeper draft vessels likely to have a problem. The marina is open 24 hours throughout the year except for Christmas Day.

The staff are always helpful. The office is in the main building - up the stairs, above the shower and toilet block. The call sign is Largs Yacht Haven on VHF: Channel 80, 37(M), M2. Weather forecasts are posted in Reception daily.
