Largs Yacht Haven, the view north

1.   This photograph shows the view north from Largs Yacht Haven , looking towards the town of Largs.

Seen here at low tide, it is a pleasant 20-minute walk to the town along the coastal path. Largs is a popular Scottish seaside resort, set on the so-called ‘Scottish Riviera’, and comes complete with promenade, restaurants, history and activities for the kids. For the sailor, Largs provides easy day trips round the islands of Cumbrae, or across the Clyde to Rothesay and the rest of the inner Clyde.

Further afield, the beautiful island of Arran is easily accessible, as are voyages up Loch Fyne or round the Kyles of Bute. Ireland is only about a day’s sail away.
