5. Orkney Sailing Club welcomes all visitors to the port of Kirkwall whether in a visiting yacht or just a tourist in the Islands. Kirkwall is an ideal base for touring the numerous northern islands of Orkney or a stop off en-route for Shetland or Norway. There are five special mooring buoys situated throughout the islands for the use of visiting yachts.
