				<title>Tall Ships in Alicante</title><link>http://www.sea-dreamer.com/newspage.asp?storyid=1008</link><description>The Alicante horizon has been dotted with circling masts for two days as the port anticipates the arrival of the first Tall Ships scheduled to participate in Sail Training International&#8217;s The Tall Ships&#8217; Races 2007 Mediterranea.

First to arrive were the topsail schooner, Pandora, from the Yacht Club Italien and the sleek two-masted Dutch schooner, Windrose.

Next in port was the Italian barquentine, Palinuro, owned by the Italian Navy. &#8216;This year&#8217;s event has exceeded all expectations, with over 160 exhibitors and 300 different craft on display,&#8217; said organiser Ben Sutcliffe. &#8216;We are very proud that so many companies are launching new products here in Wales and are very pleased to see all our exhibitors back from last year along with many more.&#8217;

				<title>Smith takes on round UK dinghy record</title><link>http://www.sea-dreamer.com/newspage.asp?storyid=967</link><description>Veteran sailor Steve Smith announced yesterday that he hopes to break the fastest time record for circumnavigating the UK in a dinghy. He will be sailing a boat of his own design.
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Smith, who has been sailing since he was 6, is a Yachtmaster and sailing instructor with years of experience in racing and offshore sailing. In 2003 he won the North Sea Race, sailing from Hull to Holland, and later this year will be competing in the transatlantic ARC race.
